HTML Basic Tags
Heading Tags
HTML has six levels of headings, from <h1> (the most important) down to <h6> (the least important). They work like the headings and sub-headings in a book.
Syntax:
<h1>Heading 1</h1>
<h2>Heading 2</h2>
<h3>Heading 3</h3>
<h4>Heading 4</h4>
<h5>Heading 5</h5>
<h6>Heading 6</h6>By default, browsers show <h1> the biggest and boldest, and each level after it a little smaller.
Why headings matter
- Structure: they break your content into clear sections.
- SEO: Google uses headings to understand what your page is about.
- Accessibility: screen-reader users jump from heading to heading to scan a page.
