What I look for in a junior developer CV
“The five things that get a junior developer an interview, and the three that quietly get a CV rejected.”

A recruiter spends less than a minute on your CV the first time. Make that minute count.
What gets you the interview
- Two or three projects with a live link and a GitHub link
- One line under each project saying what problem it solves
- Skills that match the job post, in the same words
- A clean one-page layout
- Evidence you finish things: a course certificate, an open-source pull request
What quietly gets you rejected
- Listing fifteen languages with no project for any of them
- Tutorial clones with no change from the original
- Spelling mistakes in the first three lines
Change your project names from "To-do app" to what they do: "Task tracker with due-date reminders".

Really clear explanation. The example made it click for me.

Glad it helped, Hamza! Try changing the example and see what breaks.

Could you write a follow-up with a bigger project?
